Between the end of summer and the beginning of fall, it’s peaceful on Useppa. There’s plenty of time for good friends to catch up and have a leisurely lunch, stroll around the island. Children can eat ice cream more than once a day. Brothers can tease each other. It’s perfect weather to climb the Pink Path Banyan Tree or go out fishing early in the morning just to see if anything’s biting. The pool is almost empty. Dinners at the Collier Inn all seem like private affairs. Afternoon rainbows and showers, picture book sunsets, slow morning breezes…

Mangoes hanging from the trees, sunset paintings across the sky, families lunching on the Collier patio, boats overnight in the Marina, late afternoon croquet, a long empty beach, baby Henry “Hank” Stack’s first visit to Useppa…..
The slow rhythms of mid-summer on an island.

Games in and out of the pool, magical sunset, fireworks at night… Useppa celebrates the 240th birthday of the United States with a bang.
Poolside music, patio lunches, kids and grownups swimming, relaxing under the shade…
Just another 4th of July Weekend on Useppa. It can’t get any better!
