Hurricane Ian Recovery

General Island Status
Open to members, but with limited services, facilities and dockage. Members are welcome to visit the island, but please understand there are many areas currently under construction and others inaccessible. Please excuse our dust and we appreciate your respect of the properties under repair and the individuals working hard to fix them. If you intend to visit the island, we ask that you notify our Reception staff by emailing reception@useppa.com or call 239-308-9211, to ensure dock space is available at our marina and seating available at the Tarpon Bar.

Rentals
At this time, reservations for rental accommodations are not being taken, however we expect this to change in the very near future. We appreciate your patience and look forward to being able to host you again soon.

Marina
The Marina is currently under construction with limited space available to members for day-use only. At this time we have about 30 slips available for boats 30’ or less and there are occasions when we can accommodate larger vessels. It’s in your best interest to call ahead to confirm dockage space prior to making the trip, especially if you have a large boat. At your own risk, you may beach small boats to the north of our reception building and along the eastern beach shoreline, so long as the boat is out of the way of the private docks and the barge dock outside the Collier Inn. As the marina repairs are completed, they’ll be opened for dockage and this information will be updated. Our dockmaster monitors VHF-14 and emphasizes its importance when you arrive to the island. Overnight dockage will be available in the near future and we will update you once it’s available to members again.

Food & Beverage
Our Collier Inn received some damage during Ian and is currently closed for repairs. For the time being, The Tarpon Bar is acting as the source of all food and drink on island. Reservations are required, and to make them, please email concierge@useppa.com or call 239-829-6104. Please be sure to include the make/model/length of the boat you’ll be using, your member number and a cell phone for contact. Hours are: Monday-Friday: Lunch 12p-2p; Appetizers 2p-6p; Dinner 6p-8p. Saturday: Hot breakfast: 8a-10a; Lunch 12p-2p; Appetizers 2p-6p; Dinner: 6p-8p; Sunday: Brunch: 10a-2p; Appetizers 2p-6p; Dinner: 6p-8p . Club Ferry/Launch
The Club Ferry is available to members and reservations can be made by calling Reception at 239-308-9211 or emailing reception@useppa.com. Ferry times from Bocilla to Useppa are: 7:30a (staff only); 10a; 11:30a; 3p; 5p. From Useppa to Bocilla: 9a; 11a; 2:30p; 4:30 (staff only); 5:30p. Private ferry runs are available and are subject to our Captain’s schedules. Please call Reception to inquire private run availability and rates.

Facilities
The pool and jacuzzi are open and available to members, and please understand that we do not allow ANY glass around the pool. A closure of the pool due to broken glass would set us back even further, so this rule will be strictly enforced. The Tarpon Bar will act as the source for all food and drink on island until the Collier Inn repairs are completed. The pool patio may be closed off for periods of time during the Collier Inn repairs, so it’s best to call ahead to confirm its status if you intend to use it.

Accounting/Billing

The majority of our administrative team is working off island while the reception building is repaired, so we appreciate your patience while we work towards establishing a new temporary office space.
